Y-SAPIX Global Campus (YGC) offers All-English based programs to serve students who wish to further pursue high-level, interactive academic English studies.
- Academic Preparation(All English) (All-Year Program)
This course is aimed for students who are willing to attend foreign high schools and/or universities in the future. Through extensive readings and debates on these topics, students work to communicate and think logically in English and to have a deeper understanding in various, diverse cultures. Classes are small-sized in attaining optimum discussion and debate balance. Moreover, we have an optional program for guidance in SAT Exam, TOEFL Exam, Essay Writing and Extracurricular Activities in order to support our students in applying to foreign universities.
Target students: 9th〜12th grade students willing to go to foreign high schools and/or universities
- Global Education(All-English) (All-Year Program)
This course provides opportunities for students to speak in English and strengthen their four skills of English through various topics. In this class, students are provided with a tablet device in class to access information on the latest trends and ever-changing world events. Topics used in this course vary across International politics, environment problems, world culture, and familiar topics. Through these topics, students will learn to research about the different topics, apply the information to their own opinion and express their thoughts through presentations and discussions.
Target students: 7th 〜12th grade students who want to maintain and/or strengthen their four English Skills
- Supplementary Course(English/Japanese) (One-Term Program)
This course enables students to be able to speak conversational English, especially for those who learn English in school but do not have the chance to use it, or those who find it difficult to step into speaking in English. The teacher will not only make the English learning lively, but will also work on the pronunciation.
Through the One-Term Program, students will be able to have sufficient speaking skills in moving up to the next Global Education Course.
Target students: 7th 〜9th grade students who are currently studying English in schools but seldom have the chance to use English on a daily basis
- Pre-YGC(All-English) (All-Year Program)
This is an ESL (English as a Second Language) class where English is taught in English, and is particularly aimed for 7th grade students who particularly learn English for the first time at school. Along with designated text books and English dictionaries published by Harvard University, practical English phrases and proper pronunciation will be taught.
Students in this class aim to study in the Global Education Course through this One Year Program.
Target students: 7th grade students who have just begun studying English for the first time in schools
- Retention of English as an Additional Language (REAL)(All-English) (All-Year Program)
This class is for elementary school students (grades 4 to 6) who have already built up a certain level of English skills in schools overseas or domestic international schools and/or public schools and wish to maintain and enhance their English skills further.
In this class, students focus on their Speaking skills, but at the same time, work on their Reading, Listening and Writing skills. This class is taught by a bilingual teacher, and will support students to maintain their high-level English.
