A Global Education Seminar hosted by YGC will be held on November 20th 2016. In this event, we will be welcoming a member of the Phillips Exeter Academy faculty, Ms. Kayoko Tazawa, who has been with the institution for 19 years. Phillips Exeter Academy is renowned for guiding many of its graduates to America’s top universities including all the Ivy League schools. In this seminar, Ms. Tazawa will be making a presentation on the education system at Phillips Exeter Academy; one of the top leading secondary school institutes in the United States. She will also be extending a message on the future of our children from the perspectives of the American and Japanese educational systems.
This indeed is a precious opportunity to hear from a professional who has been engaged in a top educational institution for many years. We will also have the honor in introducing a recent graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy.

Profie – Ms.Kayoko Tazawa

Ms. Tazawa graduated from Kobe Shoin Women’s University with a major in Computer Application in Linguistic Education. While studying at Shoin, Ms. Tazawa studied Computer Programming at its sister school, University of New Hampshire as an exchange student. After graduating college, Ms. Tazawa joined Canon as a computer instructor at the Sales Division. She then later went to the United States and earned her Master’s Degree of Linguistics at the University of New Hampshire. In 1997, Ms. Tazawa joined the Phillips Exeter Academy faculty as the Director of Japanese Program and since has taken active part in student guidance at an innovative secondary school institution. Her hobbies include kayaking, Zumba, and yoga. She is also a mother of two children.
